Community Engagement Coordinator ​

Summary: The Community Engagement Coordinator will play a key role in fostering connections between our organization and the communities we serve. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage community members, stakeholders, and partners in our mission covering a span of thirteen (13) counties.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to engage community members and encourage participation in programs and initiatives.

• Develop and maintain a network of partners that will create referral reciprocity or gateway for WFS clients. 

• Evaluate individuals' needs to determine suitable services and partner connections

• Outreach and promote WFS services at community events

• Develop and present WFS services at community meetings, events, and forums.

• Referral Coordination to connect individuals with appropriate services, resources, and partners based on their specific needs.

• Build and maintain relationships within communities in the region.

• Organize and coordinate community events, workshops, and outreach activities.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of community engagement efforts with Workforce Solutions goals and objectives.

• Collect and analyze feedback to determine effectiveness and areas of improvement.

• Convene and facilitate workshops, seminars, and other activities. 

• Assist with marketing and communication efforts.

• Maintain the centralized calendar of events and activities  

• Maintain accurate records, including the documentation of activities and outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (preferred) in a related field (e.g., Communications, Community Development, Social Work) or equivalent experience.

• Must have 1+ years of relative experience in community engagement, outreach or related role

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess and provide a valid Texas Driver’s License and Automobile Liability Insurance as required by the State of Texas.
  • Must have access to reliable transportation in order to travel within service area.

  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing duties of the job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; for long periods of time. Employee must be able to drive for extended periods of time. Employees must occasionally lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, must be able to set up display area.
  • WORK ENVIRONMENT: Fast-paced, demanding both, physically and mentally, and in constant communication.
